I object to violence because when it appears to do good,
the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.
-Gandhi

Veterans for Peace is a national organization founded by men and women who have served in the military forces in times of peace as well as every conflict since the outbreak of WWII and who now seek to serve by helping our nation move toward peace and justice rather than war and exploitation.

To join the Santa Fe Chapter either select "Sign up on-line" from the menu at left or print out the form at the bottom of this page and mail it. To be a member of the chapter, you must also join the national organization. To do that, either go to www.veteransforpeace.org or send an e-mail to info@vfp-santafe.org requesting an application form.
In August 2002, the Santa Fe Chapter of VFP (Chapter 55 -- now known as "The Joan Duffy Chapter") became the second chapter in New Mexico. The Albuquerque chapter did an outstanding job of hosting the 2001 national convention.

Ten founding members, who have now been joined by over 100 more, established this chapter to bring the special perspective (and credibility) of veterans to the work being done by allied organizations  in the area. Non-veterans may become associate members and in many cases become important workers in the movement.

National dues are $40 per year, but special arrangements can be made on request from veterans for whom that sum would be a bar to membership. There are no local dues, but all our events are self-funded, so tax-deductable donations to Veterans for Peace - Santa Fe Chapter are gratefully accepted.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Santa Fe chapter of Veterans for Peace, please print and fill in the form below and send it to
